This is Grandpa's son Matt. He was born August 19, 1978 and is a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force. He has a son named Matthew and a daughter named Erica. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for eight years. Matt holds a bachelors degree from Southern Nazarine University. He is a licensed private pilot, and enjoys many hobbies like bicycling, camping, hunting, tinkering with cars, designing and building radio controlled airplanes, dirt bike racing and he did some parachuting until he decided to add a motor to his parachute and now he enjoys flying his powered paraglider. He has been in the Air Force since 1997 and loves his job. He is a big supporter of Grandpa's trek across America.
