| In Oregon, this would have been a very common scene. Here, in Kansas, I don't see too many old abandoned houses like this. I like them because they are interesting to see and I always wonder about the age of the house and what life was like in them many years ago. |
| The oil pumps, which dot the landscape in Kansas, pump the oil into holding tanks. Here is a truck unloading one of the tanks. I expect the owner of the land will get a very nice check for this. |

| My wife worked a twelve hour shift last night then drove to Nickerson to meet me. We stayed at a bed and breakfast on the outside of town which was very nice. We had a great visit. We had not seen each other for seven weeks. We went to eat at Applebee's in Hutchinson. Do you like her hat? |
